5-star hotel - What does it mean?

You can not travel very far without some kind of rating for hotels and inns. But given that many companies use different sets of guidelines is a challenge to know exactly how to compare hotels.

The evaluation was originally created in the USA by Mobil Travel Guides (often confused with diamond AAA rating). This is a very subjective method for measuring the quality of the structure. To understand, you better look at it in very general terms thisGuidelines:

1 star: Very simple, no frills accommodation

2 star: Modest, comfortable and convenient

3 stars: nice design, additional services

4 stars: Very nice, many extras, very comfortable

5 stars: a luxury all

In many countries, is a luxury 5 star hotel. Structures may include room service, ballroom (s), swimming pool, sauna, fitness center, spa, parking,Keepers, tours, restaurants, bars and much more.

For Europe, the quality will vary from country to country. are usually provided by an agency of some kind, and often ignore the environment or charm, the hotel may have the votes.

There is no way to assess a 5 star hotel in New York or San Francisco, exactly the same as that of London or Paris. European standards are different, with prices generally higher in most but not all countries. Remember you can always ask tothe first room, and decide if it lives up star!
